HP Launches its Chromebook

hero chromebookThe Pavilion 14 Chromebook. That is HP’s first device’s name which runs on Google’s Chrome OS.

Priced at $330 (INR 17,500), this notebook is amongst the heaviest Chromebooks in the market, weighing at a mighty 6 Kg. It has a 14 inch screen, powered by a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron 847 CPU, and 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of built-in flash storage.

It has one HDMI slot, three USB 2.0 ports and one SD reader port. Buyers also get 100GB of Google Drive space which can be used for free for the first two years of purchase.

Unfortunately, with a battery runtime of 4 hours and 15 minutes, users might have to dash for your notebook’s charger a little more often than they would prefer. Low battery backup is a major problem for users of cloud-orientated devices everywhere; but with the world turning over slowly and steady to the magic of Wi-Fi, it’s not going to be a much of a problem in the future. But what of now? Only time will tell.

As of now, the device is available only in the US and there is no information of its India launch.
